Luiz Duque: After receiving his bachelor's degree
in Electrical Engineering in 1975, worked until 1978 for the Brazilian Aerospace, the Department of Electronics at the Institute of Research and Development of the CTA. During this period, he designed several components of the microwave for a meteorological radar in developing of the Institute.
In 1979 he moved to Canada where he continued his studies in Electrical Engineering at McGill University in Montreal. His thesis was a power amplifier solid state (6 Ghz, 6 Watts) for the first digital radio system (16 QAM), Nortel.
In 1980, after completing this project for Nortel, he continued working with Microwave in development group designing Radios sources, Microwave for various digital radio systems.
In 1984 he joined the Spar Aerospace Industry, also in Montreal, where he served as manager of a development group of satellite transponders. Also oversaw several space programs, including the ANIK-E Satellite Solid State Power Amplifier and Receiver Development Program. While he worked at Spar has been involved actively in the preparation of proposals and offers for a wide variety of projects for the International Aerospace Industry.
In 1988 he was hired by Fujitsu Compound Semiconductors where he worked as Manager of National Sales for line power amplifiers, International sales manager for Hi-Rel Microwave Products for Aerospace and Industrial Sales Manager for local products Microwave and Optics for South Amercia, Australia, India and New Zealand. After disconnected from Fujitsu, he has dedicated all his time to Boreal Communications.
During his career, Luiz Duque has accumulated considerable technical expertise as well as marketing products and high technology projects, which is extremely important to work in this mature and sophisticated market. In July 2000 Boreal moved its operational base from California to Brazil and opened a new in Campinas - SP. This city, which is located 100Km from the state capital (Sao Paulo) was strategically chosen to be, today, the center of Telecommunications in South America. Campinas is now know as the Silicon Valley of Brazil. Our other office is located in Sao Jose dos Campos, which is the city with the highest concentration of Aerospace Industry of South America. These strategic locations allow us to be closer to our key clients and allows for a more direct service.
